My review of Alafair Burke's The Wife. $26.99.

Angela Powell has it all. Loving, famous author husband Jason, son Spencer. Nice house. Her world starts to unravel when Jason is accused of sexual harassment by an intern then a client at Jason’s firm also claims she has evidence of a sexual assault. The woman then disappears. Then cracks in Angela’s perfect façade start to show. She has a dark past that she doesn’t want to get out to the media. Angela is searching for the truth. Is Jason really who he seems and is Angela? I liked all of the twists and turns that Alafair throws at the reader. I thought I figured everything out but boy, was I wrong! I also liked that every character has flaws. No one is perfect. I couldn’t put this book down and read it in two days. Definitely a fast paced domestic thriller. I would definitely recommend it and her other book The Ex ($15.99) to women looking for the next domestic suspense Gone Girl type book.
